I read The Many Dates Of Indigo off my NetGalley shelf in October and immediately liked Indigo as a main character. I rated the book three-stars but as more time goes by and my thoughts float back to the story it may be more of a 3.5 stars novel.

We meet Indigo months before she turns 30 and she is worrying about getting to that milestone year without having a life partner and someone to start a family with. But Indigo has been hurt before. So she is cautious.

In the story she dates mechanic Nathan and lawyer Diego while still having romantic feelings for her best friend Tate.

The novel read more like chick lit than romance and it was fun to read. I enjoyed Indigo’s family dynamics and her friendship group.

One of the things that stood out for me was Indigo described herself as a foodie and we get to see her enjoy her meals. In so many books I’ve read the heroine is often so busy she forgets to eat or too nervous to eat and all manner of things that Indigo was just refreshing.

Thanks NetGalley and publishers Wattpad was giving access to this book. I do recommend if you like strong Black female leads, friendships, food, self-actualization and a dash of romance.

Have you heard of The Many Dates of Indigo? Now that you have would you add it to your tbr?
