Reading Time: 2 minutes

Time for a quick September 2022 reading wrap-up. September was a fantastic reading month. I read three books and one was a five-star book.

The first book I finished was The Bromance Book Club by Lyssa Kay Adams. You can read my full review in a previous blog post. I rated the romance novel 3-stars. It was a fairly quick read about husband and wife rekindling their romance.

The second book I completed last month was also a romance book. Picture Perfect by Jeevani Charika is a fake dating romance novel with a Sri Lankan couple. This was an absolute delight. Readers will fall in love with Niro and Vimal. It was a slow burn romance that was light and sweet.

I got this book from NetGalley. Special thanks to the publishers HQ Digital for granting me assess when I hadn’t posted a book review on My Jamaican Vignettes in over two years. I rated Picture Perfect four-stars.

Picture Perfect is slated for publication on 21 October 2022.

The Secret Lives of Church Ladies by Deesha Philyaw was my first five-star read of 2022. This a delightful short story collection that takes an intimate look into the lives of the women featured. I listened to the audiobook on Scribd and it was fantastic. The narrator did an amazing job. I can’t even pick a favourite story they were all so good.

What’s Coming Up on My Jamaican Vignettes in October 2022

Next Sunday, 16 October is my birthday. I hope to do a special life update and some of my favourite things post. So look out for that.

I also want to do a spotlight of books on my NetGalley shelf later in the month so stay tuned for some new books to keep on your radar.

Thanks for stopping by and reading.
