Can I be honest? I am bored by this series. Maybe I am simply exhausted and I need more rest but researching things to do in Kingston when I have no energy to out and do any of the things feels pointless. So I am simply highlighting two things: an observation that most Jamaicans cherish and a holiday that we are all looking forward to.
Things To Do In Kingston in May 2026
Mother’s Day
First up, Sunday 10 May is Mother’s Day. Treat your mom, the moms in your life. Make that lady feel loved and appreciated. From brunch options, to taking her to church, buying her her favourite chocolates, a spa day or even jewelry. The options are there. You know your mom best so get her something she will cherish even if that means simply spending the day with you.
Labour Day
Labour Day is Saturday 23 May but we will get the bank holiday on Monday 25 of May so long weekend loading. I am writing this more so for me than for you. Plan something fun that weekend even if the core tradition centres on work and volunteering your time and labour to a worthy cause. Do something fun for you. Make new memories. Experience something new.
