MJV Bookish Thoughts: May 2025 Wrap-up

Welcome back to My Jamaican Vignettes.
May was another slow reading month. I read three books.
May 2025 Reading Wrap-up
The Veq Family Series by Beverly Jenkins

I read book three in the Le Veq family series, Captured by Beverly Jenkins and I rated it five stars. Overall I feel the series (four books) is a four and half star series. All the books are fantastic. Now it is time to dive into Ms Jenkins catalog and see what other books I’ll fall in love with.

Next I read an upcoming release. I requested an advanced reader copy from Edelweiss and I got it. The book is The Re-write by Lizzie Damilola Blackburn. This is her second book and now I want to read her debut. I rated it four-stars.
Then I read my second Natasha Bishop. The book is book one in Lost and Found series and I gave it a three stars. The villain was so unhinged. But I liked the friendship dynamics and I may read book two.
TV Wrap-up
My current favourite TV show got cancelled but I watched all of Found season two and I didn’t love the ending and I hope another network picks up the show so we can have a completed story.
I also started watching it continued watching Station 19 on Disney Plus. I skipped the COVID-19 season and jumped ahead. I am not mentally ready to handle COVID media.
And that’s it. Next week will be a guest post on living as a digital nomad.
See again on Sunday.
