January 2026 Empties

Reading Time: 2 minutes

So here is the thing, while I like watching these on TikTok, I can’t maintain this as a blog post series so my January empties is my last one for right now. I don’t want to store my trash to get a pic for this article series.

Did you miss the December 2025 empties? Read it then jump back to this one.

We are breaking up with overconsumption in 2026 and embracing using up what we have before repurchasing, no more backup and backup of the backup. No more or reducing multiples of the same types of products and a commitment to using what we have bought.

January 2026 Empties

So in January I used up a mix of body care and fragrances, skincare and a few lip products.

Here is the breakdown in a little category order:

Fragrances:

I used up two Bath and Body Works fragrance mists – the Vanilla Romance (my second bottle but I won’t repurchase for now) and Gingham Glow, sweet and bright and I liked it alot. I also finished the coffret set mini of Phlur’s Missing Person perfume. I adore this scent and I will eventually get a full size but not right now. They cost USD $99 and to ship that would be over the USD $100 duty-free limit.

Skincare

For skincare, I used up Elf’s vitamin C and E and ferulic acid and I had a back up and I am currently using that every single morning. I completed a Beauty Formulas micellar cleansing water and I have cleansing balms that I will use up before repurchasing any micellar cleanser but I do prefer this cleanser than a semi-solid balm.

Lip products

Lippies, I used up my elf Squeeze Me lip balm in watermelon that I had misplaced (in a handbag) from last summer and I completed the Mario Badescu lip mask. I love the lip mask and I want a new one but I need to use the other lip balms that I have first.

That is it. Those are the things I used up. Oh and a Clean Skin Club Clean Towel (I have new pack of that and I will continue buying them).

No questions to get engagement. I simply hope you are using the things you buy because all those random purchases were once money you had in your savings or chequing account and I do hope you are being responsible with your credit card.

Talk again soon.
