Welcome back to My Jamaican Vignettes. I am in a new era called ‘Betting on Myself’. Here is the unofficial official launch of ‘Chantel DaCosta Editing Services’.

Initially I planned to go big and get a dedicated website with the bells and whistles, local SEO-rich with editing and proofreading and grammar blog posts, but then I thought about it further, this is a passion project and my first proper freelance attempt in over 15, so let’s take it a step at time.

Welcome to Chantel DaCosta Editing Services

Here is quick rundown of services – per hour:

Copyediting – JMD $7,000 or USD $45

Substantial Editing, Rewriting and Development – JMD $8400 or USD $53

Editorial Project Management – JMD $9000 or USD $60

If you are interested in a brief overview what these services entail, email me at chanteldacostaediting@gmail.com and I will share a short pitch deck and we can discuss your needs.

What Makes Me Qualified To Be Your Editor

Now you may know me as a girl who loves books, mindfulness and cares about mental wellness and well-being. But I am also an editor, I have over five years experience editing in the marketing and advertising industry across the Caribbean and South America. I am also a member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP).

So drop me a comment if you are interested, or better yet keep it private, and email me what your needs are, white papers, presentations, thesis, non-fiction essay, short stories, article or news piece or op-ed and we can discuss how I can help your content be error-free, concise, comprehensible, and clear.

This is very different from our typically Sunday conversation but I hope you will support, share or let someone who may need an editor know that I am available for short-term projects.

Thanks so much.

See you next Sunday.
