Welcome back to My Jamaican Vignettes.
Happy Monday. New week, new goals to tackle and new vibrations.
Today I am sharing the podcasts that I have been listening to lately and content that I feel can add value to your life.
This isn’t my first podcast round up but my listening interest has shifted since 2023 and I also listen to less things that I did back then. But I do feel that 2019 to around 2023 were golden years for podcasts. There was a lot of talent and energy and it was simply fun.
Do you guys remember my failed podcast? Maybe failed is too harsh, let us call it my limited podcast, MJV Bookish Thoughts.
Anyway enough of the reminiscing, let’s dive into what I have been listening to lately.
Podcasts I Have Been Listening To Lately
- She’s So Lucky hosted by Les Alfred is a podcast I started listening to sometime last year. I discovered Les on TikTok and I liked her content and I would watch the reposted clips and I enjoyed what she had to share. The show is “dedicated to women who create their own luck against all odds.” It is a podcast for women that centres our experiences and encourages growth and taking a chance on yourself. I really like her individual episodes but from the ones that I watched with a guest, I really liked her interview with Aycee Brown, who is a psychic medium and astrologer. That was a fun episode.
- The Clever Girls Know Podcast with Bola Sukunbi offers short episodes of relatable content that centres conversations around money, business and building wealth. Bola is the founder of Clever Girl Finance which has an online platform with free personal finance courses and she is also an author of personal finance books.
- Aspire with Emma Grede focuses on conversations with rich and successful people, her Spotify about section describes Emma Grede as “one of America’s richest self-made women”.
- The Overcoming Overspending is a podcast for “high-achieving women who are looking to ditch the scarcity and confusion with their money and move towards a financial life full of confidence, abundance, and clarity.” The host is Paige Pritchard.
I listen to podcasts on Spotify but I am sure you can find these where ever you prefer. Are you sensing a theme with what I have been listening to lately?
