It is the weekend. We made it to the first weekend in March. How are you all doing? I am great. I am excited about Q1 2026 on My Jamaican Vignettes. We are switching thing up just a little today and I am sharing some of the my fav spots that me and my bestie have had BBF dates in and around Kingston.
Let’s dive right in
Places in Kingston for BBF Dates
When I first thought of this blog post I considered focusing on solo dates but if I am being wholly honest. I almost never do those anymore. So if you see me out and about in Kingston changes are I am with one of my closest friends. These can work for solo dates too if you are in the mood to relax and dine and drink and enjoy some ‘you time’.
Coffee Dates

No pressure, no fuss, just coffee or tea and your favourite person. I have two recs for coffee dates – Cafe Blue and Cafe Dolce. I like the service and drinks at these local coffee shops. I have been to the Constant Spring locations. An iced coffee and sweet treat and an afternoon yapping is just perfect.
Brunch Dates

I will be honest I may not be a brunch girl. I may prefer lunch and dinner dates. But one memorable brunch was at Uncorked a few years ago and the service was lovely and the food was delicious. The drinks were great too.
Lunch and Dinner Dates

Maybe it is because waking up early on the weekend isn’t my idea of fun. But I love a lunch or dinner date. A few of my fav spots are Tava Indian Fusion and Broken Plate. At Tava, the service was fantastic. I think we went on Friday and the atmosphere was vibrant and the food was good. I had the sweet chili chicken with rice and garlic naan.
At Broken Plate, me and one of my closest friends shared small bites and an assortment of appetisers for lunch one afternoon. It was fantastic afternoon.
