I want to travel more. That is a goal of mine for the rest of my days. I want to see and experience a new culture and country, at least one per year and I feel as if with some careful planning, adjustments to my spending plan and careful budgeting. I can make this happen. So today I am sharing my current top three dream vacation spots.
Dream Vacation Bucket List Locations for 2026

Peru
First up, I want to go to Peru. This may not happen in 2026 due to finances and I want to properly plan and save so this may be more of a 2027 trip but we will see, things can change suddenly so who knows. Let’s focus on best case scenarios.
But Macchu Picchu Peru is a dream vacation that I have wanted to experience for a few years now and I hope to get there soon.

South Africa
I have conflicted feelings towards animal sanctuaries and visiting them but I feel like I want to experience it at the same time as feeling like we have no business being around these majestic creatures. I also want to experience a South African wine tour. So this made the list.

Cuba
Our closest neighbours and one of our closest friends as a country is in crisis and I hope the CARICOM members will rally around Cuba and help them but sadly geo-politics is making it seem like we won’t. But I have also wanted to go to Cuba. I missed our high school Spanish trip because I don’t think I had a valid passport at the time. But this is still a dream of mine.
That is it. A short and simple list but I am a simple girl. I want to experience new things and I also don’t want credit card debt either. So it may take all or most of 2026 to save up to experience one of these trips.
Do you already have summer 2026 vacation planned? Where is on your travel bucket list?
Talk again soon.

Love this list. Cuba is also on my list. I want to visit a few Latin American countries like Costa Rica. Need to work on my Spanish.
Thanks Marsha-Gay. I need to learn Spanish too. At least to have a basic conversation.
These are all good and really realistic trips to take. I see travel in our futures.
We deserve a girls’ trip. Thanks for reading, Kimberly.
