The Lookahead: Things To Do in Kingston in March 2026

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Can you imagine we are rounding out February this week? Wow.

I decided to keep the Lookahead series going so let’s dive into what I am excited about for March 2026.

What’s Happening In Kingston in March 2026

Food and Drink

The Jamaica Food and Drink Festival is back next month from 5 to 8 March 2026. The events that were scheduled for November last year have been revamped and are happening in March.

Head to the Jamaica Food and Drink Festival website to see the details.

Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee Festival will be at Hope Gardens on Saturday 7 March 2026. I am excited about this one. I have never been but it is a celebration of coffee and this year they are partnering with Jamaica Food and Drink Festival and merging the festival’s street food element with the coffee festival. Tickets are JMD $1500.

Fitness

Kingston City Run is back this March. The event is now part of the Pirates Week celebration is slated for 15 March 2026 at Emancipation Park.

Sports and Athletics

Not my cup of tea but so many people look forward to this so, it is also almost time for Champs.

The 2026 ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls Championships, is to be held on 24-28 March 2026 at the National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica. Champs is Jamaica’s premier high school track and field competition, organised by the Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA) and sponsored by GraceKennedy.

That is all I have. Maybe you will be at one of these activities. Go out and enjoy the city.

Also putting out a call, if you have a local event or activity in Kingston in April or May, email me at myjamaicanvignettes@gmail.com and I will feature your event in the next Lookahead feature.

Thanks for reading and since the content calendar for February was derailed see you tomorrow for something that I haven’t even decided on yet.
